Do batting stances and swing impact productivity?

Playing this game over the years, there are some players that just HAVE IT. It doesn't matter if their attributes are low, they just rake. These players generally have a sweet swing.

Then there are other players that can be nearly maxed at certain hitting attributes and they just won't mash.

In some cases, I think a players batting stance and swing effect their productivity.

For the guys I control, I think it definitely has an impact. I'm not saying I think one stance impacts ratings differently than another, I just assume that I see and time the ball better with certain guys in certain stances

If you're asking if there's something in the game code or programming wise, no there's not.

But just like real life of you think something is impacting your hitting then it is. If you think you hit better because you're only wearing one sock, jumping and down, and singing the Macarena.... Then guess what you do!

I hit better with an open or normal stance than i do with a closed stance.
It wouldnt surprise me if most people didnt fare as well with a closed stance but thats just a hunch

To the OP's question...it doesn't as far as ratings but I think it has an effect with the user's timing. Certain pitching motions I have a tough time trying to get pinpoint control on meter pitching...sometimes, I feel like that with a batter that has a unique leg kick as it distracts me when the pitcher delivers the ball.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Well that's slightly different as every pitchers meter is made to match their delivery. So unless you're playing with analog plus stride it's not really the same thing.

I'm a pretty good hitter but on HOF with Jose Peraza of the Reds in 300 ABs he has 50 hits. He lives on a cold streak. It has to be his hitting stance. Most of my other hitters are in the .260-.300 range. If he pulls it it's pulled straight to the 3B. If he goes oppo it's a weak flyball or popout.

Ben Zobrist drove me so mad last year I ended up changing his batting stance.

yes if you use zone plus analog with stride you have to know when to stride. Ryan Healy is someone I am still trying to figure out, sometimes i start too late and his momentum is not moving foward enough and his bat speed appears not to be there and he looks off balance and i never get a hit when this happens.

I can pull the ball much better with a batter that has an open stance.

Oh yes the definitely do. Kendrys Morales I always over perform with due to his stance.

Guerra on the Brewers is a guy I almost want to trade because his windup is sooooooooooo slow. If you factor that in with the guys who constantly move their bats back and forth while batting and you've got a recipe for me wanting to have a stroke.

Certain ones definitely affect me pitching to them. I HATE batters who waggle their bats pre-pitch and it goes behind the pitching meter. Very distracting. I might as well just drill them with the first pitch and move on to the next guy.

I struggled (somewhat) with Xander Bogaerts in my first season, he was subpar at hitting. (around .275 avg)
But my second season (currently in) Bogaerts is struggling ridiculously. He's hitting just above .200 and I'm entering July!

I've edited his batting stance last year to my preference of realism IMO, but now idk what to do with him.
He's going to be a Free Agent at the end of the year and he's one of the best pure hitters in the game (with limited power, albeit). I don't want to let a player of his caliber walk in FA(or trade him for that matter) but I just can't hit with him. I'm a fan his but this is where being a GM comes into play.

                            Oh the agony!

Had the same thing with Chris Tillman. It was like select pitch, take a sip from the coke can, okay now the meter is ready.
