I've had this happen previously where I was performing well and then inexplicably sent down to AAA. When it happened, I was pissed for all of a few moments thinking that this was something stupid that was in the game. I ended up looking at the roster and saw that a player came off the DL and my RTTS player was the only one with minor league options left. It just might be that you happened to be the odd man out with options when a pitcher was coming off the DL.

        Really good observation! Maybe so!

To the people that said i shoulda been angry: look at what a waste it woulda been. The biggest problem with angry posts is they never or hardly ever follow up with comments about how wrong they were when there was a reasonable explanation like this.

It only ruins the game because you've decided that the game needs to be realistic. The problem with that mentality is that the game can never been 100% realistic, so you'll always keep finding faults. It's a delusion that most gamers aren't aware of, if Reddit has anything to say about that.

The consequence is you get mad at something you probably would've loved as a child 20 years ago. I stopped caring about realism, now I just play '17 for fun. It's sad seeing so many people get mad over a simulation not simulating reality perfectly, but I'm having too much fun with the game to care.
