RTTS attributes: Batting Clutch and Reaction

I know this has been discussed multiple times, but I can't see to find a consensus. For an RTTS player (or a player-lock in franchise mode), do batting clutch and reaction matter as long as you are actually playing all of your player's plays and not simming? I can't tell if they make a difference or not. One thing I was thinking about with regard to batting clutch, however, is while it might not matter in game play, it might matter in terms of your position in the lineup. Your manager might be more inclined to put you in the 3 or 4 hole if you have a better batting clutch. What do you think?

now these quotes are from a thread from 2012 but they are probably still pertinent
