    Fatigue

The way this game handles fatigue is ridiculous. Guys that play 150 games a season don't need to be dead tired after 4 games. Completely ridiculous. Upping durability to 100 doesn't help either

You don't have to bench guys just because they are tired. They aren't effected much when they are low energy

I've never tried to test this, but when you sub in a player, does it conserve energy? Like will stamina be affected benching a player who is, say, 2-2 vs leaving them in the game for the duration?

If a guy only pinch hits he will gain stamina

So if I pinch hit, the pinch hitter gains more stamina? Did I read that correctly?

Correct, also if you pull a guy with a few innnings left he gains a little stamina. I always pull my stars when Im down big late.

What he means is that if you're resting a player, his energy recovery won't be stopped if he comes off the bench to pitch hit late in the game. Obviously though if your resting a guy and you bring him in to hit and play starting in the second, his energy will go down instead of up.

                Re: Fatigue

Stamina loss/gain for positional players is calculated at the end of the day.

Each day they lose energy based on what they did and how much playtime they had.

Each day they gain energy based on the Durability attribute.

So yes it is possible to have a player play and still gain stamina.

As for pitchers and the bullpen, I have no idea how that works. Something having to do with sacrifices to the baseball gods I assume.

By dead tired do you mean the bar is empty? I'm not buying that. I played full 162 seasons in the past and that just never happens after 5 games with a 100 durability guy. Maybe at the halfway mark if they've played 20 games in 23 days. But that's just real life. Ask Cal Ripkin how strong he felt in July after never missing a game. Being 100 durability still means he's a human.

I find I have to rest Pedroia almost every 3-4 days or else he gets tired and cranky..In real life he plays just about every game if he isn't hurt..

Why do you have to rest him? Just because his energy is less then half?

Not entirely related to the topic at hand:

I'd love to have a separate slider for durability and injury as there is a difference. Guys like Tulo a few years back would be in the lineup every day but was often injured...so he'd have a durability rating of like 90 but an injury rating of 50. I'd then like to see a representation of an example 162 game season to show on average, he'd play X amount of games (to show how it'd even out).

                        But that's just me...carry on.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I thought it was confirmed by the devs a couple of years ago that injury rates increase when guys play when their stamina is low?

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's definitely true, along with more fielding errors. I've just never felt the effect was worth benching guys the moment they got near bottom energy. I'm fine with playing a guy on no energy 3-4 games in a row.

In my old Indians franchise. I had Brantley (95 durability) play 130 out of 130 games. Some were at DH but most in the field.
