Which leads me to my question. Is there a way to get rid of the press R2 to show pitch types? It really bugs me now and i don't need to see that. I have messed with settings and I can't seem to get rid of it.

Clean screen
I tried searching and didn't find anything. I recently turned off the strike zone when hitting and found I am able to tell balls and strikes a lot better because it was actually distracting me.

Re: Clean screen
You have to turn off the PITCH SELECTION OSD... It does remove the OSD for when you're pitching too, unfortunately. I play with everything off as well, and just peek at mine and my opponents pitches at the beginning of the game, or from time to time during the game.

I don't remember having to hit R2 to get there before....maybe I never knew...lol
I wouldn't like that for pitching, but, for RTTS 3rd baseman it is great!Comment

Re: Clean screen
If you go to gameplay, hit R1 until you get to general you can turn off the strike zone.
Once you are there you have to hit R2 to get to advanced and you will have more options to turn off a lot of things.
I am turning off strike zone and Pitch select display
I might turn off feedback too. Haven't decided.
I am walking a lot more than I used to now. My eyes are straining a lot less. I didn't realize how much it was bothering me until it was gone.
I should add this is in RTTS, not sure if it is different in other modes.Comment

Re: Clean screen
I use wide view for hitting. I can tell what pitches are a lot better with it.
I have poor vision so I lower pitch speeds down until I am comfortable. Fastball at 0 and off speed at 2.
Not sure if it is because I have it set up on a pretty huge home theater system, but, if the pitcher throws 92 plus you can swing as soon as the pitch is thrown and you will still be too late to keep it fair. With it at zero the lag seems to be about right that if I guy throws upper 90's I have a hard time dealing with it. My TV is under 20 for lag so that isn't it.
Not sure if I covered everything...lol
If there is something I didn't cover feel free to ask.Comment

Re: Clean screen
That doesn't actually give me what I want. If you turn off the display you can't bring up the pitch types if you want to.
Not sure why it works like that. With the strike zone off you still can bring it up with R2.
For some reason not the pitch types though...seems inconsistent.Comment

Re: Clean screen
I play with all the things off and use stride analog batting with the hitting camera on broadcast simply because I want the game to look as close to what I see on tv. I use the default hitting camera for RTTS though because it's more like me as one player. Anyways....while pitching, with the pitch selector off you can hit right on the dpad and it brings up the info menu that tells you your energy as well as hitters coming up. If you hit R1 it lists your pitch types for that pitcher. 1st ones x second one is circle third ones triangle fourth ones square fifth ones R1. I just remember which is which or check that screen if I forget. I have a nice clean screenComment
