"Only Major League free agents may be added to the 40-man roster between November..."

In the offseason following the 1st year of my franchise, the Rule 5 draft was skipped over (I was never prompted to enter the draft on the day it was held) and now the game thinks it never happened, and won't allow me to add anyone to the 40 man roster. I have advanced to the start of the 2018 regular season, and am still getting the notice "Only Major League free agents may be added to the 40-man roster between November 20th and the Rule 5 draft in December."

Has anyone seen this before and can anything be done?

So you had to play the whole season without calling anyone up?

It only affected a handful of guys. I play with 30 team control and I don't like the randomness of the retirements at the end of the season, so I release guys before the draft that I want to retire. Then after the draft I'd resign them and some of those guys were the ones it happened with. I couldn't get around it, tried trading, releasing, waivers, anything I could think of. Nothing worked
