Looking for ideas on best hitting view...
What do MLB the show players think are the best hitting and pitching views to use?

Re: Looking for ideas on best hitting view...
I have started to sway away from fisheye for a few games and use now over the plate view. I can see the ball break easier.

Re: Looking for ideas on best hitting view...
I was was offset zoom as it helped me time my swing better, but I've been having trouble laying off pitches just outside the zone. I thought it may be because of the zoom, nothing really looks that far off the plate. So I switched to fish eye and turned off the strike zone outline and I've been working counts much better.Comment

Re: Looking for ideas on best hitting view...
The Show 15 for hitting. I find it just jives with me the best for pitch recognition and feel.
Fisheye for pitching. I know a lot of people like the behind the pitcher camera's but I hate those. I want to think "If I were the batter what would fool me?". Plus when I pitch in Franchise I feel I'm playing two positions. I'm the catcher making the calls and the pitcher executing them. So I really feel the view from the catcher is immersive.
Love fisheye for spotting those runners.
Also the epic view.Comment

I use a custom fish eye that helps me recognize the low pitches better.
Standard:
Custom:
Zoom all the way in and move the camera down until the pitcher is roughly centered in the strike zone and you're done.

I use PITCHER CENTER and zoom in all the way it allows. Awesome! Try it!
I like the fact that Righty-lefty matchups really come into play as it is harder for lefties to hit lefties and vice versa because of the angle and the ability to see the pitch sooner.
Hint: focus on the center of the strike zone and not the ball or pitcher. (I always guess low pitch in classic quadrant mode to avoid swinging at dirt balls but that's optional)
Also ill use MIAMI BROADCAST

Re: Looking for ideas on best hitting view...
A customized camera will no doubt yield the best hitting view.
But I'm pretty lazy and just wind up using one of the presets that suits me mostOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Looking for ideas on best hitting view...
what is the point of your question? There is no "best". Everyone is different. I use "outfield" view customized to be a little more zoomed out and centered. Some don't like that view. Others use the behind the plate views, which I hate. Use what YOU like.Comment

Re: Looking for ideas on best hitting view...
I think the point of the question was to get some fresh ideas after people have now played the game a while. I've been using Fisheye and struggling down low. I've now changed to Greencollars custom Fisheye that he gave pictures of and it's perfect for me. Without this thread it's not something I would have done myself.Comment

Surely if a thousand people endorse a particular cam view over one that only a handful like, that wold have SOME merit.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23
