    Was wondering if....

Anybody had the same problem as i do, and how you corrected it. I have a thing where I like to keep my franchises somewhat life like. But I'll go in and start one and I make trades but then I'm like well now I'm bored with this and start over. Has anybody experienced this and if so how did you change it, or am I just weird when it comes to my franchises...

      Re: Was wondering if....

I used to feel like I should make it as life-like as possible, but what I did was use one of the first OSFM rosters and then let my franchise flow on its own. I play only single-team franchise (not all 30 like some do) and I tend to make some of the same adjustments my team does in real life. I bring people up and send people down if they're as bad or good as they are in real life. There are some players that have struggled on my team in the game but have done well in real life, so I'll send them down and I'll bring someone else up. Any other trades from other teams occur on their own, and I take it as it is.

Try this method out. It has definitely helped me stay focused on my franchise rather than worrying about everything that happens around the league in real life.

I didnt really correct my problem, what I did was just get multiple season/franchise saves going and I flip-flop back and forth from one to another. Keeps things fresh when I need a break. One of the season saves, I do more roster tinkering than actual gameplay. I even rekindled an old season I had going from Show 14 about 2-3 weeks ago. I hadnt played it since summer of 2015. I have a Braves franchise, Rockies season, White Sox season, Orioles season, Rangers season, an additional Braves season, Marlins season, not to mention the all the OSFM rosters from 14-17 that I really havent gotten far into any of them, but I still have most of them. Then theres plenty of season modes I have with classic rosters from the vault reliving the 1980's. Like I said, I havent corrected my problem, if anything I've compounded it. It works for me but I cant say I recommend my lifestyle choice/baseball addiction to others. FWIW

Ya that's what I've been wanting to do. It's just hard I like to keep it real haha. Thanks for the advice

the way I understand it the OP is ocd about tweaking rosters until they're 'perfect'
but after a certain point he grows tired of the franchise because of all the changes.

I would suggest taking two nurses and visit your aspirin twice a year.

i have 1 30 team control where i make all the real life roster moves to satisfy my realism itch. then i have a 2nd franchise that lives and breathes on its own. i actually prefer that one... if i want realism ill watch a game on tv

Once I start my franchise I don't give a damn if it mirrors real life.

I approach it as once I start playing it is a different MLB universe. With that said if players start drastically overperforming in real life I may edit their in game ratings to reflect this, but that is usually only for minor league prospects and adjusting potential.

I feel the same way. Also, I have owned this game for several years and have done several franchises. I have won 1, count it, 1 World Series. It was in year 9 with the A's. I do love the franchise feature and the roster vault. I love taking over bad teams and rebuilding. Once I get too many good prospects that become stud MLB players I get a little bored. I am running two franchises with 30 team control right now and I'm being very careful not to stock up too much. However, the White Sox recent moves have made that more realistic as they have several top prospects. I hope to be able to see these to the end.

If u have a good team ans youre bored with it, tear it down and trade everyone and rebuild again.
