Has SCEA announced if patch 1.10 is in the works?

I am very frustrated too. It's July 9th, and I don't even have a franchise going. Everytime they release a patch it's like trying to play a whole new game, so I have to sit and play with sliders for weeks on in. The furthest I have gotten into franchise mode is 4 games. I'm usually well past the all star break, if not almost to the playoffs by now.

I cant tell you the last time i hit a HR. I have a multi-team franchise in which i control either individual pitchers only, one hitter only, or one SP + the bullpen only. Heres what my hitters have done past 2 days:

Carlos Gomez : 3 for 10
Alex Presley: 2 for 8
J.Marisnick: 2 for 9
R.Grossman: 1 for 9
Pujols: 1 for 9
T.White: 0 for 9
T.Tebow: 6 for 9 (lol)
McCutcheon: 0 for 8
Mallex Smith: 1 for 10
P.Tucker: 3 for 10
D.Fisher 2 for 10
D.Santana: 1 for 9

Thats 22 for 110 (.200 BA) with 22 singles!!

Oh did i mention all their attributes are jacked up? Not all 99's but pretty close and they are all overrall 99's. Smh Hitting isnt even fun to me anymore. If pure analog pitching wasnt so enjoyable for me i woulda stopped playing a long time ago.

22 singles is ridiculous. Oh and im using ROOKIE! Power on sliders at an 8!! No bs

Yet just my last game I hit 3 that I'm sure added up to nearly 1400 feet. One of them was just short of landing in the slide that hangs above left-center in Miller Park. I can count on at least one a game. No problems. AS Directional offline franchise...

So what mode are you playing? I am using HOF directional mode timing only and my last 3 games I have hit 6 doubles, 3 homeruns and a triple.

Also I would be interested to know your slider settings...contact, power, solid hits and pitcher control, consistency.

That does sounds really strange. On Rookie, you should be mashing the ball.

It's weird, but I have a tougher time hitting on Rookie than I do on Veteran or All Star. I actually understand where this guy is coming from. Unless you're really struggling to make contact (which it sounds like you aren't), I would move contact (and probably power) down to 5 or 6 and move up a notch or two in difficulty.

I think it's the PCI. The giant PCI seems great, but what it does is just spreads your contact way out and doesn't make you actually pick out a good pitch. Instead of waiting on a meaty pitch, you just swing at a strike and never see any pitches. This greatly reduces your chance to see a meatball because you aren't being forced to really wait. Plus if you're not playing Zone hitting, the PCI has a greater chance of randomly being in the weak contact spots.

I would offer this advice to anyone, unless you are completely new to baseball games and the sport in general, I would never play on Rookie. And if you are new, don't stay there too long. Rookie is really, really bad and is not there to teach you anything more than "The pitcher throws the ball, and you swing at it".

If there is another patch, all that should be written in the patch notes is: "Yup, we messed up royally this year."

They HAVE to do another one, at least I hope. Even though all of my options are turned to manual, the CPU is doing crazy calls ups and for some reason I'm only allowed 23 on my active roster...annoying as hell.

I play HOF classic pitching and zone hitting, after patch 1.09 the game is like old times. Except for the ball in dirt,LOL. But I up pitch consistency to 6. Yes it Hurts seeing how these pitchers hit the corners and play mind games with me but at least when the ball hit the dirt I cannot auto take a base.

Im not updating until i know exactly what they changed "messed up again" with this one.... i finally got a good settings and sliders set which is playing just fine for me and i don't want to start all over

It doesn't have its usual, "other various fixes," listed on the notes from what I can see. I hope they amped up the hitting a little though. I'm averaging about 5 hits per game at best with the 1.09 update.
