I'm playing now and it's just weak contact ad nauseum. Occasional gapper but that's it. I'm using the White sox for reference.

Seriously though, would be tough to determine major changes in one game and those release notes don't seem all that major.

I played on my Dodger franchise mode after getting the new update. Won 8-0 agaisnt the Rockies, hit 4 homeruns. Didn't notice to much difference with the hitting.

There's a difference in hitting from offline to online. It's worse online.

Yes, played only game so far with Cardinals (me) vs Nationals. I noticed the LF like seemed to know where the ball was going to go well before it hit the corner on a liner down the line.

He was standing literally almost waiting for the ball to come to him as the wall rolled around the corner and wall, bouncing up into his glove. I never saw stuff like this before. Or at least not noticed it.

In two games I saw two guys thrown out at home, twice by me all from LF using cut off man. Fowler dropped a ball on a running grab at the track...it was scored a triple for Trea Turner.

I can't place my finger on it, but even with auto fielding the fielding felt different in the outfield for sure.

I honestly don't know if it's the patch or me, but I feel like I can hardly hit anymore. My games against the AI all seem to be pretty low scoring affairs, usually 2-3, 3-0, 1-2, things like that.

In my head, I feel like pre-patch I was seeing more hit variety in terms of balls not hit straight at outfielders and infielders, whereas now actual hits are rare, and scoring more so. Can't remember the last time the AI hit a home run off of me.

I'm the same way. Ever since the patches started coming out. Hitting just isn't the same. Not just homeruns(which I hardly get anymore). But the hitting in general. Nothing feels or look natural to me anymore. Even the hits I get feel so scripted. I mean. Pitches down the middle more times then not are going to be hit solid. But all I get are weak hits or pop ups. Every game. I'll get one good hit then everything else will be weak. Can't get a rally going.

Now I just downloaded the new patch and in a middle of a game so cant tell how it is now with just playing one.


One thing I will say is that before all this mess with the patches I was playing 5 games a night roughly. Now I struggle to even finish one. I support this team but come on. Get you s**t together.

Well one good thing I noticed is that when a switch hitter (Chase Headley) bats from the right side the defense plays straight away now instead of pulled over to the right side of the infield like when he bats left handed

I'm really hoping that one's been checked out. I realized the other day I just don't even bunt anymore. It's always as bad as an infield hit, so even a guy like Villar with 99 speed isn't going to outrun it.
