you can start a rtts with a custom roster you just have to download it and it asks you before you start to use, which i do use but not until 1-2 months after the game comes out when someone creates it and its never great. and the rosters go by the overall stats like Holliday being a 77 and in AAA but if my pitcher has amazing hitting stats you would think the coach would hit him not 9th

If you don't like created rosters feel free to take a stab at making your own. No one is stopping you.

As far as a pitcher hitting....that really never happens. Larussa would bat his pitcher 8th...and that was because he thought it was nice having a second "lead off" hitter coming around the next time thru the lineup. When was the last time you saw that.

It sounds a lot like you don't really want the explanation if you don't like it. You are in for a rough ride with that attitude.

I understand what you are saying but without knowing their overhead/admin costs, it may not really be that bad. I have read on these forums multiple times about the small crew SDS has opposed to what 2K has. Basically if 2K has three times the cost as SDS.....it's pretty much a wash.

I agree with you, their overhead is probably minimal compared to Madden's and 2K's. You also have to take in to account that The Show is just on Playstation, where as the other games are on multiple system. This gives many gamers the chance to buy the game. I guarantee if the game was on Xbox or PC then those sales would be a lot higher (but this will never happen). For the game to be a yearly game, I say they do a good job. Yes there are things that need fixing and hopefully we can get those fixes but it is what it is right now when it comes to "online gaming". Gamers who enjoy the solo experience and just playing franchise or RTTS will (for now) take a secondary position when compared to DD.

Units sold is only part of the story now that it's only on one generation's console. The real numbers would should microtransaction revenue generated through DD...I bet that more than offsets the lost sales from ps3.
