Ha! The really messed up thing is that no matter how many times he gets sent down, it doesn't count against his limit of 3. Can't believe no one else experiences this...

options used only count as 1 per year, even if he's moved back and forth 100 times a year.
3 options means he has 3 seasons he can be optioned. 2 options means he has 2 seasons he can be optioned.

As mentioned before only one option year gets used per season in this case so he'd burn one for this year then can ride the bus back and forth as much as the CPU seems to want him to.

I run 30 team control, one profile is set to have the teams control their roster moves and the other requires me to adjust lineups and 25 man squads. I've not run into this at all this season. I manually adjust some of the CPU rosters and I do know they will eventually make some re-adjustments but not the kind of thing you are experiencing.
