    Franchise Future Season Scheduling

How hard is it for SCEA to get this right?? Madden has no issues rotating divisions for AFC/NFC every season, yet The Show can't get interleague scheduling right. Every year I'm stuck playing the same division, and my geographic rival is never the correct team in future seasons. Cmon SCEA

They've tried, but continue to run into issues/bugs. Each year in development they work on adding this to the game, but unfortunately each year they are unable to due to bugs/glitches that arise.

And I understand that Madden does it, but scheduling in the NFL, 16 games a single game a week, is a bit different than scheduling 162 games, multiple teams per week with a combo of 2, 3, and 4 game series.

How many years is it going to take? For most teams the home/away with your interleague rival are some of the biggest games of the year.

The generation of the schedule is actually very well done, road trips make geographic sense, most teams start and finish the season with division games. It's getting the interleague divisions to rotate (which other games are able to do) and keeping the interleague rival static

I don't how long it will take as I'm not a developer nor am I privy to what issues they are trying to overcome.

And you keep pointing out that other games do it. That's neither here nor there in this situation. It's not as if SDS isn't trying, it's that they are running into issues when they implement it.

You can keep going round and round with this, saying how it should work and that other games do it, but it's not going change the fact that there is an/are issue(s) when they try putting rotating interleague schedules into the game.

the sds dev team will eventually have to get bigger, you'd think.
I mean, theres only so much Russell and one lone janitor can do.

maybe instead of implementing a set rotating interleague schedule, a custom interleague schedule is the way to go.

I don't see SDS getting bigger anytime soon.

And I'm not sure a custom interleague schedule would be any easier to implement than a set/rotating schedule. Because with custom, you would have to program the game to account for all the variables the user may come up with.

yeah, the more I think about it, I think you're right. its probably going to have to be something that starts with MLB themselves in restructuring the amount of IL games. maybe sometime after the next round of expansion. IF that even ever happens.

I wonder why they don't use schedules that have interleague games from the past? Start with the first year that inter league play started and make it next year's schedule. Make the following year's the schedule for the 2019 season, etc.

                  This 10000000000 times.
It does not even have to be that crazy...

They can use the interleague schedule for the past 5 years or so.
If every 5 years the Franchise schedule repeats itself, that would be an upgrade over having the same one back to back years.
