How come I never get this reaction when I crush like Giancarlo in The Show?

    This is @Giancarlo818’s 50th HR of 2017.

So of course it was #crushed. https://t.co/xqsC4nhoXX pic.twitter.com/c8HMJs2QXx

"50!! Vaporized to center!! Miami takes the lead!!"
"And Giancarlo just Keeps. On. Crushing!!"

    Instead, we get this.

Just doesn't seem fair to me.

The audio/pres team is always trying to add additional content to cover as many of the real life situations as possible, but there will always be limitations...

There are a lot of factors that go into the playback of content:

    Hit type
    Score
    Inning
    Rivalry

Stats (4th HR of the season V 50th)

    etc.
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

      60 is the new 50
do they make a big deal about 60 (or 70) hr's?
anybody ever flirt with a .400 batting average in september? does Vasgersian make mention of it?
and has anybody ever thrown back-to-back no-hitters with the same pitcher in season or franchise mode?
are there announcer lines for that?

It's not just specific moments I'm talking about here, guys. It's the general reaction from commentary. I only used this one example as a base, but I can use Matt's "getting excited" commentary as a further example.

Especially the Giants/Cubs commentary starting at 2:28. You just don't hear this kind of excited commentary in the Show.

It's drab and uninteresting and still has the same lines we've had for a few years now, regardless of the situation. It's the high-pitch of his voice that I never hear, even when hitting a walk off HR... coupled w/ the immersion-killing "a solo/2-run/3-run shot to left/right/center field... and the (insert team here) take a 1/2/3 run lead" line during the HR trot as the player's rounding second base everytime.

"He's creeping ever closer to that magic number" is heard for 60+ HRs or 40+ hitting streak "Hey, Joe D! Lookout!" once you pass 45 games.

First AB for the last two weeks is, "He's flirting with a .400 season." Before that, it's "batting average in the stratosphere"

Did it in both franchise/RTTS...nothing from any previous games unless your RTTS player has homered for the third time in the series, then it's about homering yesterday and should think about not pitching to you. But if you have a perfecto/no-hitter going for 4-2/3 IP he keeps talking about that "zero in the hit column" after every AB, "one more inning" at the end and then "outs remaining" from six left. You lose it and "oh no, the perfect game/no-hitter is over" with as much emotion as a Tampa Bay Ray fan.

Re: How come I never get this reaction when I crush like Giancarlo in The Show?

This thread is spot on because it's not about getting rid of Vasgersian. Most of these threads are about scrapping the announcing all together. The announcing in this game is decent but it isn't great because Vasgersian lacks excitement which is what he doesn't have an issue with in real life. IMO he is the best announcer in Baseball at the present time and it needs to be used to it's advantage. People can disagree that he's the best announcer, but that's totally fine and not the point I'm trying to get at. What I want to get at is he has a ridiculously good voice, great personality, draws my attention immediately, and gets excited when calling a game because he loves the sport. It is not represented properly in The Show. Not in any way. There are glimpses of it, but it's more of a tease then anything.

If they can get the excitement that Vasgersian has in real life, I think it would do wonders for actually giving big moments the attention they deserve.
