    Franchise Mode Techniques/R.P-ing

So I couldn't really think of a good title for this, but most people think The Show's franchise mode is underwhelming in terms of depth and functionality. So What I try to do is hold myself to certain standards/create rules in order to make it more realistic and immersive.

A great example was the Trade Value spreadsheet thread from last year. Instead of acquiring players based on the fluky and broken trade system in game, someone put together a more realistic spreadsheet on what it would take to acquire/trade away certain players, and implement that into the Franchise mode. So instead of someone like Chris Archer being able to be acquired by 2 bench players and a prospect, they set up a tier like it would take a Low A Potential, and two Mid-B potential prospects to get him. This aims to make it more fun and reasonable, etc.,

Point being, I was hoping to make a thread that people could ask and/or share their tips and ways of making Franchise mode more realistic through the standards/functions they set.

For me personally, I've been trying to think of a system to upgrade/downgrade players' Potential. For Example: James Paxton is killing it this year and in my Roster, he's only a 83 potential. The game sometimes has fluctuating Potentials, but nothing even close to realistic. Like I was thinking maybe based on age, every month a player players, below, at, or above average they lose, maintain, or gain a potential point.

I'm more just curious on everyone else's thoughts/ideas, on this idea, or any other technique you guys use to make it more fun.

Personally I don't have any house rules or anything of the like. I play thru my franchise and whatever happens, happens.

I know we question the trade logic of the game but it's been my experience that if you play out multiple seasons you'll notice that the AI has an idea in mind when making roster moves.

Yes they are head scratching at times but it's been my experience that the good outweighs the bad.

The only thing I'll do is possibly add prospects to the game as franchise goes on, but that is extremely rare.

    I do add draft prospects

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I play out the game as it's own universe. The only thing I will override is RP starting games, and a real unorthodox trade IE Trout for 3 no name, low rated players. Other then that, it's my baseball universe. I have a slider set that keeps stats close and fun, so I'm happy with it. I don't want to mimick real life trades. I prefer watching how my MLB world plays out.

Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
      CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.
