Last year the cover athlete (first news) came October 27th. It could be similar timing, or later this winter.

I would say MAYBE a short trailer sometime during the World Series at the earliest.

It is usually December around the time of Winter Meetings, but stream schedule and those type of things probably wont be revealed until end of January early February.

its the simple things (at least in my mind) that I look forward to most: like being able to edit service years and options used, to name just a very few. I hope they keep adding at least one thing a year. I was so glad to see pull push and extreme hitter types added in 17.

I would be very happy with tendencies. Such as, first pitch swing/take, and chase rate. I think even a few tendency sliders would make each pitcher, and hitter feel so much different.

I love what SCEA has done so far with this series, and cannot wait for 18.

I look forward to where SDS take the series.

For me I hope its sooner rather than later. The last few iterations have largely been just tweeks to the game they built years ago. I am looking for a complete overhaul to a number of items before I dump a bunch of time or money into another Show.

The player models and player animations need attention in the worst way. You look at the beautiful games out there in different sports and you pop in TS and it looks like a PS3 game in comparison. Its time to sink some money in making the players look real again.

The franchise mode in The Show is almost embarrassing now when comparing to other games. Hope this gets major love.

I love the addition of new gear but I will need more than that at this point to pique my interests for this upcoming game.

franchise does not need a overhaul...it just needs some attention, possibly some additions like maybe expansion ( i personally dont care for that, it just seems to be the it thing nowadays )
i do agree with animations, especially on defensive side
as for player models, well they've made improvements

Yeah I don't understand the "franchise needs an overhaul" comments.

There are certainly things that could be added, but an overhaul suggests they need to tear down and start over which they don't.

I know people want expansion/create a stadium but even if those two things never happen it's not like the mode is bare bones. Far from it actually
