Manager / Coach editing

I uploaded a roster from the vault this weekend and noticed that it had a couple of the missing base coaches (Gonzalez of MIA, Washington of ATL) as well as Bud Black of the Rockies. Were these updated during the official roster updates or did the creator of the roster somehow fix them? Just curious.

I'm 99% sure it would've been through a roster update.

To my knowledge, and believe me I've checked, there is no way to edit managers/coaches in the game.

It's something that I hope could be in next year's game. That and the ability to edit player faces for players who don't have face scans (as I said in another thread: guys like Trout and Frazier).

Been asking for the ability to edit coaching staffs and FA coaches for a few years now. Hopefully we can get that this year. Been playing 2K and it's hard to overlook this aspect.

Do you remember which roster you downloaded that had this?

It was something like MLB18. It had all of the rosters updated with FA's in single A.

the edit player face thing is never going to happen, because of the structure where the Audio is built into the database. it would be impossible to change that for 7009 players. the only way it could be done is if you edit the players face they turn into a created player. the issue then is the Audio still wouldn't be linked and you would get the robot audio that you choose from create a player (if it is there)

There is a workaround for this (sort of). If a player was added in a previous version of the Show you can import him into the new game and as long as you don't give him any audio name he'll keep his commentary lines. Won't be robot audio.
