Personally I'd like for them to just remove instant replay, especially if it's never going to be used by the cpu.

In its current state, its just there to be there.

I do feel like it would save some resources if they were to do that. I always turn it off when playing my franchise games for the reason you mentioned.

It's the same for balks.

Personally I'd like for them to just remove instant replay, especially if it's never going to be used by the cpu.

In its current state, its just there to be there.

Pretty much where I'm at with instant replay as well. I don't really see a need for it - in a baseball video game.

What’s the difference between it and a challenge in Madden? If situations intentionally called for a replay the same way that they do in Madden, it would be a great feature. The AI uses them in that game, so they could easily use it in The Show as well.

Love instant replay and need way more of it... every call we see in real life needs to be in the game. Every play at every part of the field at every base. I love it... I want more of it... give me more, more MORE!!!!

I have not played Madden since 2004. It always felt arbitrary in a video game. For me, having instant replay in a baseball video game doesn't enhance the "illusion" so many people are looking for. I find zero need for it.

Agreed.

Personally I'm not a fan of instant replay in real baseball, so my desire to have it in a video game is zero.

Since instant replay is a huge part of real baseball now, and such a small part of The Show in its current state, I feel like they either have to greatly expand it or remove it completely. The latter seems like a mistake to me since this is a simulation and they want it to be as close to the real game as possible, so it really only makes sense to expand it. As for the CPU non-utilization being a reason to remove it: they just need to program the CPU to use it and that solves that.

I agree with this. The point for replay in real life is to correct errors made by the umpires. Basically to correct human error. I feel like the game intentionally makes a bad call so you can challenge it. Just have the game make the correct call and save everyone the time. Jmo
