    Zone vs Directional hitting

Which one provides better/more realistic results?

    Re: Zone vs Directional hitting

I don't really know that one provides more better/more realistic results over the other. I think its all about preference.

Personally, I like to play with Zone hitting. It's what I've always used and for me it provides the perfect balance of difficulty and results.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I always thought directional was like driving an automatic vehicle and zone was akin to driving a stick-shift. I prefer directional myself. That's what I started with and never have played very much with zone. Pitching is my real strength and I view batting as a necessary evil lol I exaggerate I do enjoy batting even if I'm only hitting my weight.

I think it's sliders that will/won't get you realistic results. Either has the potential to be realistic. It's really just a matter of taste. I actually do a detailed breakdown of the difference in my directional hitting guide: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...ing-guide.html .

Check out the section called The Fallacy of following the Pitch. I was using the difference between the two modes to illustrate a point, but it should give you a good idea of what interface you might like more.
