Re: Zone vs Directional hitting
I don't really know that one provides more better/more realistic results over the other. I think its all about preference.
Personally, I like to play with Zone hitting. It's what I've always used and for me it provides the perfect balance of difficulty and results.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Zone vs Directional hitting
I always thought directional was like driving an automatic vehicle and zone was akin to driving a stick-shift. I prefer directional myself. That's what I started with and never have played very much with zone. Pitching is my real strength and I view batting as a necessary evil lol I exaggerate I do enjoy batting even if I'm only hitting my weight.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Zone vs Directional hitting
I think it's sliders that will/won't get you realistic results. Either has the potential to be realistic. It's really just a matter of taste. I actually do a detailed breakdown of the difference in my directional hitting guide: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...ing-guide.html .
Check out the section called The Fallacy of following the Pitch. I was using the difference between the two modes to illustrate a point, but it should give you a good idea of what interface you might like more.Comment
