I wouldn't really be too surprised if that was recorded before the patch that ended stuff like this though (it'll be quick, but look at the scorebug's homerun banner):

not the distance but I know that sometime after this game launched before the patch that fixed it... weren't everyone worried about the number of HR's in the game? well wasn't this also the year we obliterated the single-season home run record for a season and a couple of months? we need to have the patch unpatched... or re-coded for 18 because I don't think this will be a single season issue going forward...

on the OP's thing... really awesome feat... that was freaking awesome...

Kinda silly that it could be compared to something that actually WAS possible in the game at one point (The longest I saw in the out-of-box game was 700-something).
