So let me preface this by saying that I love that this game has players pumping their fists and acting excited during the big moments of games... But I've always had just a couple of issues with it that I hope at least got touched on a little bit.
1 - There is no difference between a big moment in a game between two last place teams in May and Game 7 of the World Series... The biggest moment in one of those May games might not evoke as much emotion as even the first hit of the first inning of the World Series... In playoff baseball it gets rowdy!
2 - It's kind of hard to explain but the celebration animations have always seemed a little too pronounced and not very authentic. For example, if you get a big strikeout to get out of a jam, almost every time the pitcher does some type of spin move off the mound and a weird fist pump where his hand is off to the side while his head is still magnetically drawn to the ball. The whole thing just seems very robotic. If a pitcher gets a strikeout in that situation in real life and is going to show emotion, he is normally yelling and pumping his fists in a more "punching the air and flexing" type of way.
The same goes for big hits... So many times after a big hit in real life, you see the runner on base either beating his chest, pointing at the dugout, clapping his hands, etc... Any time you hit a walk-off, the adrenaline of the moment makes you absolutely lose your mind... Just think about all the times you see the guy who just hit the walk-off single continue running straight to the outfield to run away from the insane mob coming after him... Or the guy who just hit a walk-off home run coming around third who fires their helmet at the ground like they're mad at it and proceed to get absolutely mobbed at the plate.
These are the moments that make baseball such a great sport and worth the grind of a 162-game season, so the more variety of those animations that are in this game would make the feeling of doing those things within The Show feel more authentic to the person playing the game.
