How would you feel if you were buying a car or a house. and you were waiting on information about something to do with your house, and the agent said they will give you info next week.
Then they never cal you back, meanwhile you have already put down deposit or paid full price for something you don't know the complete details about. then from 2nd hand source someone says 'oh he said he will ring you back in 2 days to find that info out for you'
Why would you pay in full for a house or car you don’t know the complete details about?

Re: MLB The Show 18 Developer Blogs & Twitch Stream Schedule
The cynics among us (population growing by the hour with how Franchise has[n't] been promoted this cycle) will likely say that SDS didn't have enough improvements to justify more than one blog/stream/video/announcement, which is why they cancelled on us today without any prior notice. What more can be said about the mode itself, what hasn't been added to it in recent years, and the relationship between the devs and us that hasn't been said already? Not much.
I am just looking for this saga to be over so I know whether I am out just $35 for OOTP or $35 for OOTP and $60 for The Show. Hopefully, by this Thursday....there will be enough information to make an educated choice.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Anyway. it's time SDS learn how to promote. how about the week after the Super bowl write a blog for EVERYTHING yes everyTHING. tell us briefly what is in each mode, gameplay etc. still do the weekly streams but give some details in a blog about each mode.
Then we all know and have a idea what has been improved or hasn't been improved on. and we can still wait and enjoy the weekly streams. waiting 7 days before the game comes out to find out what is in it is getting beyond a joke. it is not going to effect pre order sales, in fact it will improve them more people will get excited on the details and hit pre order straight away. your actually keeping some franchise guys hanging to pre order on waiting on these details.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 18 Developer Blogs & Twitch Stream Schedule
lol How cagey can they be about this franchise info? 10 days from early access and not a word about it as yet...oh wait there was one word "phases". Look, I'm not here to complain or kick up dust about it, but it's just clear this is a calculated move on their part, enough with the excuses about that. I think we all know and understand there isn't going to be any major franchise info coming out, that's fine, not bothered by that. But give us what you got, what do you have to lose? I guess a few preorders huh?
To deliberately withhold information about a particular game mode but yet be perfectly transparent about the other two major game modes, at this late part in the game of the development cycle, yeah not a good look brah.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 18 Developer Blogs & Twitch Stream Schedule
I actually the reason to push the blog and have the video release on. this coming Thursday is because it's the first day of the NCAA tournament and most (Like myself) will be glued to hoops and watching their brackets go to hell during the first round.
Cynical-yes. possible-yes as well
Hope to be pleasently surprisedComment

I am more worried about if anything has been taken out, if it is the same as last year I am fine with that, I am prepared for it to be like that. I am nervous that they could take out 30 team control and do a EA and say it's to get ready for online mode next year.Comment

Like mentioned earlier, the schedule was subject to change, which is “prior notice”. I was hoping for franchise info today too and bummed we haven’t gotten it. But I’m sure there is a reason why. Who knows, the delay could be because they are in the final stage before going gold and they are trying to implement something we all want into franchise during this 11th hour? Hopefully the info we get on Thursday will be worth it.Comment

It’s not because it’s postponed it is for a negative reason. They may have been able to squeeze a feature in where some video/blog editing is required.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 18 Developer Blogs & Twitch Stream Schedule
actually when you buy a house you pay a 10% deposit. when you look at a house you don't know all the complete details. and you gotta wait 6 weeks for that settle period. and there maybe things you don't know going on between the previous owner and your soon to be owner

Considering their sales I’d say they are promoting just fine
