With MLB themselves having say in what can be in the game and what can't, it's strange they don't make sure they have team colors and other minor things correct. I mean, they make them follow the style guide, and the style guide is for marketing purposes primarily, so wouldn't accurate jerseys and jersey colors be just as important to MLB?

I guess that is entirely your option. I choose to experiment and try to improve things, while others just accept what they have and gripe about it. Now I remember why I quit posting fixes I have found along the way.

In all seriousness, my followup post contained the kind of productivity I'm even letting him know about. There are other ways to calibrate a set before touching some of those knobs.

The other issue is sometimes changing one color affects all of the other versions of that color you need right, or changes other colors around it for the worse.

This all reminds me of the You Suck at Photoshop videos where the guy is stuck playing miracle worker on somebody's photo (slightly NSFW for language). "Aaand also I'm never going to be able to fix these teeth." It's all really just a lost cause until/unless the developers fully act on it.

Actually, here's a better example: The Dark Knight UHD just came out where everything was corrected back to its theatrical presentation form while the Blu-ray has been a mess (colors, edge-enhancement, etc.). So what do I do? I begin a project on the Blu-ray where I am re-timing every single shot, trying to work out the halos and artifacts, highlighting more teals and oranges as necessary. And I mean there is a stark difference between the two, not even counting resolution and HDR. It's just unfair. I just want my Blu-ray to be as I feel it was supposed to be.

Eventually, I realized that enough was enough and I couldn't possibly try and work it out that way. The only correction was to buy a UHD and UHD player. Though I still did a little project... I captured the entire UHD version of the film, downscaled it to 1080p, and even just for good measure I custom-cropped the IMAX sequences so that it was all a constant 2.40:1 aspect ratio. I put this to a Blu-ray disc, and all is now good! This fix was controlled at WB though, not on my end. I just found a way to use it on my devices. I had to pay good money for the fix though.

Anyway man, back to what I was saying... it's not your fault. It's just not a fix either.
