They do that every year and always grow it back out.

Lorne, the Senior Game Designer, tweeted to someone that was giving him hair update suggestions back on 2/9 and he said "We are still updating facial hair on players. Robbie Ray included." Hopefully he'll see this thread or people tweet him more from ones posted in here.

I sent Lorne this thread in a PM a week or so ago. He acknowledged that he got it and said they are trying to get everyone’s looks updated.

As much as I hate the Yankees require clean cut but it’s fun sometimes seeing players like Andrew Miller or Johnny Damon aka the caveman joining and having to have a clean cut, or players who were with Yankees their whole career and moving to another team, seeing their real self. Cano was one example. As many other players. I always check players during spring training current/post Yankees.

Being a huge Red Sox fan, I just hope he has an accurate face scan this year. Last years was not even close.

As long as he stepped into the scanning tent in spring training of last year (2017) he should have an update. Otherwise it'll probably be the same.

Yeah almost certain he will have one. Usually the players who doesn’t have it the first year will have it the next year. Mostly if they’re everyday player or maybe top prospect but otherwise it’s 50/50. Benintendi was a everyday player and a very good one, so he’s almost guaranteed to have one.

I wish we could just edit hair and beards for players..

nothing worse then a mid season signing to the yankees with a player looking like a caveman. I guess the issue is the beards and hair are linked to the actual facescan

The only way players get a face update is if they go into the scanning tent when SCEA shows up to camps in the spring. It's not guarantee AB will have a different face this year. We all hope he does so we just have to wait and see.

Mike Trout didn't have a scan for the longest time (Finally got one done in 2017) and should have a new face this year. Really has nothing to do with being a star or everyday player. It has more to do with a player's willingness to get scanned.

maybe a franchise option where your beards and hair grow in real time LOL and you gotta spend the budget on getting a haircut. and shave. Now that would be fun

Hey the Witcher game has real time growing bears it could be done.
