Couldn't you just change your equipment color to gray for road games? If you were going to go through and change everything to team color 4, you could just as easily change it all to gray. It'd be the same thing.

He'd have to do that before the start of every road trip then change it back to white before every handstand then back again and continue. The team color 4 idea would mean it's only done once ever and then changes automatically based on if the team is playing at home or on the road.

I see, I was confused as to how the team color 4 would work. I was thinking it would just be an extra option that you'd still have to change each game. I didn't realize it would be something that would change automatically.

Some guy got the game on Tuesday night, and started streaming. He got banned shortly thereafter, but did show us some new equipment, he went through it pretty fast though. What I remember is Lizard Skins, Marucci, Mizuno, and LS batting gloves. There may have been more but I didn't catch it. Mizuno, Marucci, and Under Armour fielding gloves. No new catchers gear, which sadly means no Nike catchers equipment.

Was hoping for Victus bats at least. They were bought by Marucci (so one would think licensing not an issue), and according to What the Pros Wear they are the second most popular bat in MLB (Marucci, Victus, Louisville Slugger, Old Hickory, Chandler, Rawlings in that order followed by all the rest with small percentages of the market). So far just seeing Marucci, Old Hickory, Sam Bat and generic on the stream.

edit - they just subbed in Chisenhall to bat on the SDS tourny live stream, and it looked like he was using a generic bat in the game from what I could tell. A quick look at Getty Images shows him using a Victus bat...so looking like Victus didn't make it in. Oh well, if that's the case guess Betts uses a Marucci in my 'chise again this year (generic equipment is a pet peeve for me haha).

I really wish Chandler would have made it in. Selfishly for Kris Bryant, but a ton of big name guys swing them including this years Cover Guy.

I can't believe they still have three slots taken up by Rawlings batting gloves, something NO ONE wears, but cant get equipment players actually use in the game.

This absolutely kills me! I had to keep looking cuz I didn’t believe that they would actually take out the sunglasses that I would say 60% - 70% of players actually wear! The generic sunglasses are so dated and lack any sort of customization! They look like crap on the amazing face scans that they started implementing into the game since last year! Very disappointed! If they were running out of slots then they could have pulled the generic sunglasses out or the Rawlings batting gloves that no one wears.

Another thing that bothers me is you can’t add the batting helmet face protection on MLB players! It’s locked for some reason. I’ve been watching Spring Training games and more and more players are using this protector. Bryce Harper comes to mind. So instead of being able to edit yourself for the players that wear them we have to wait for SCEA to edit them! That’s pretty ridiculous! We can only hope this was an oversight and they will unlock that customization soon! UGH!!!!

This must be an oversight. So many more players are wearing them now and they don't have them on in the game.

They have missed the mark again this year on customization for equipment in my opinion. Logo colors still locked or can't change them at all. Logos still don't have their own seperate color option (Nike batting gloves). Equipment that I have seen absolutely nobody use added to the game.

I don't quite get how whoever is in charge of the equipment takes a look and says to themselves that this works and everyone will love these customization options. I just don't get and I know they won't fix anything again this year even though it seems like it would be an easy fix as far as the color options.

Well if you want solid white batting gloves of any brand other than Franklin this year, you’re out of luck. You can’t see the logo on any of them. May as well have generic gloves equipped.
