Re: Preorder question
Early Access (First Pitch Weekend) to the Full Game, Starting March 23 12AM EST
I think if you order after the 23rd then it is the 27th“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Preorder question
Like someone mentioned, I usually don't do digital on sports games since I play them for one year and trade them in. Usually, the next year at least trade in previous year's version for about $5.
However, this year the game releases 3 days early, pre-loads 2 days prior AND releases at Midnight.
Since I am too lazy to go to store and pick it up, but too impatient to wait until the next day, digital it is.
The early access and midnight release cancels out the $5 trade-in I would have gotten when buying MLB '19 next year.Comment

Re: Preorder question
Feel like I know the answer but asking for confirmation so I'm not disappointed later... The ps4 themes included in the non standard editions are one per MLB team right?
I doubt anyone else will make their purchase decision on this but if I can get a Marlins specific ps4 theme I'll jump up to the MVP edition.
Stubs and packs are cool but I don't feel the need to pay more for them since I can earn them for free. The team specific themes I want and and can't earn them so if it's what I think they are I'll get the MVP edition and then the stubs and packs will be fair extras incentives to have.Comment

Re: Preorder question
Amazon has been really shady with pre-orders the last 6-7 months. With many new video game releases they no longer take pre-orders so we can't get the 20% discount. They already removed the discount for new game purchases last Summer. Now they just aren't taking pre-orders for many games. Not sure why they are doing this.
If you buy multiple games a year, the Best Buy Gamer's Club is now the best bet. They offer the same 20% discount and all games are available for pre-order.Comment

Re: Preorder question
The midnight release shouldn't matter(Some stores may do a midnight release. Some won't). You should be able to get the game on the 23rd regardless. The employees can say they don't have any idea about the early release, but their system should be updated by now and their Gamestop TV Channel that runs in the store even says you can pick up MLB 18 The Show on the 23rd if you preordered it.Comment

Re: Preorder question
I see Newegg is taking preorders for $50. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with them. As others have mentioned, I'm a little irritated at Amazon for not participating in preorders.Comment

Re: Preorder question
I know this question was posed earlier, but I'm still a bit confused.
On the PSN Store:
"Early Access (First Pitch Weekend) to the Full Game, Starting March 23 12AM EST.
Play on 03/27/2018 12am Eastern Time"
What does this actually mean? If I have early access to the full game on 3/23, why can't I play until 3/27? Can someone with knowledge actually explain what this means? Will I be able to play on 3/23 if I pre-order or do I have to wait until 3/27 but can only download on 3/23?Comment

Re: Preorder question
I may be mistaken, but I think PS Store, and GameStop are the only ones offering early access.Comment
