    franchise player fatigue

how does everyone handle having to rest their star players. Currently i have nolan arenado and i feel like he needs a day off about every 6 days. This would put him at playing around 135ish games way below the 155 to 160 he will play in real life. Is there a way to lower there fatigue with sliders like you can with pitchers. Any word of there will ne any change with this in the 2018 game.

I haven’t found a solution. Even if you max their durability at 99 they’ll still be exhausted after like 4-5 games. I just wish they would add a stamina/endurance slider and a separate durability/injury slider. Why they group them together makes no sense to me. For example a guy like Tulo who is injury prone has like a 70 so he’s exhausted every 3 games because he gets hurt a lot.

Not sure if this is being addressed, but I can't really notice a material difference in players that are "tired" vs those that are not. I'll usually just keep playing them even if they're low on energy, with the occasional day off here and there.

I play with the Rockies in "Season" mode playing the 162 game schedule which one would assume would be virtually the same as "Franchise" mode and I get more than 6 consecutive days out of Arenado before I need to rest him for a game. But for sure he gets tired and needs to be rested before 14 consecutive days. The MLB The Show series is not realistic at all when it comes to some real world iron-man like players who can play day after day, week after week, month after month without needing a rest. However with all that said, one thing I do in my games is prior to starting a new game on the schedule I observe who on the roster will need to be rested soon in the coming days and if some sort of blow out develops in the current game, I immediately sub-out the fatiguing player(s) in the current game which often allows me to get a extra day or two out of them before they need to be rested. But it would be nice to see the game allow iron-men players (such as an Arenado) to be able to play like they can play in the real world.

Playing all 162 last 2 years, I had to do something about this. Needing to rest my Star players every 5 games was too annoying.

I put every player at the Major League level up to a 99 durability.

It definitely helps but it’s still not perfect. A 99 durability rating should be 162 games started bc there are those out there who play all 162 so it’s not too unrealistic.

But in the show players would need rest after maybe a week-9 days.

I agree they need to separate stamina and injury ratings

I've noticed a huge difference in 17. Never have in previous years. Trea turner getting out on great drag bunts and Judge dropping easy flyballs when fatigued.
