Who is hoping they reveal something with SOTS Radio Show?

In the developer livestream scheduled for Franchise this week, hopefully they have plans of revealing revisions made to the radio show in the menus of your franchise. They tweaked it a tiny bit and then kind of gave up on changing it for last year's game. Hopefully there is some kind of change that was done here. I can't be the only one. This is the one feature they have added in that needs more dynamicness at least to me. It gets stale fast

God I totally forgot about this mode. in all honesty though it's quite stale now and I don't even listen to what is being said. all it is is a recap.

now if they gave us a highlights show or something that be unreal

It would be really cool if the radio show guy talked about rumors around the league or had a spring training season prediction show. So much potential with that feature.

It's always seemed a bit broken to me. When it recaps other games i often hear how so and so hit 2 HR's and 5 rbi's and some other player reached a milestone but when one of my players does something it rarely mentions it,it's just the standard score recap.

One other thing that was mentioned a few years back,16 i think, that they said they would expand upon and improve each year was that the game was able to access all the stats from the front end menu and use that info in game for osd's and commentary. Besides the pitcher vs hitter matchups i don't recall much else being added in terms of stats ect. So hope some more stuff like that is added this year.

I'd love if they added off the field stuff like OOTP.
Then the show could pop in "Breaking News" that "Insert Name Here" broke his ankle in a pickup basketball game" etc..

          Stuff like that...

Yes I agree, it's almost like they left that hanging for a year to see what they can do in the upcoming years as they progress in finding ways to implement variety. I don't remember what they said regarding the future, but it gave me this feeling that they would keep expanding on this going forward

I hope so. I would even settle for the recap to be coordinated with the appropriate score OSD that has a bit more added info like top 3 hitters, pitchers of record etc.

I doubt it though. If it hasn't been announced ahead of time as a feature, then it isn't happening. IMHO

well you know the radio show had issues when after 1 game it said 'the red sox move to 1st place and go to 1-0'

But there needs to be some sort of news during the season. remember when we had the newspapers?? why not bring those back but give it headings like 'fans have stopped going to watch the marlins play on their 2-12 start to the year'

You know storylines on players that are red hot right now, or cold players

                  Agree agree agree.

More immersion is always welcomed and needed at this point.

Re: Who is hoping they reveal something with SOTS Radio Show?

Simming games in quick succession makes the radio stuff really annoying. I get embarrassed of someone is in the room so I put the TV on mute.

The radio show is really only useful for those that sim/play a day at a time. Due to the limited time available and the fact I like to play 4 or 5 seasons to build teams, I often play a series or two followed by simming 2 or 3 weeks. For me, the radio show rarely gets listened to. No doubt the radio show needs work, but there also needs to be a different and improved screen for getting league updates for the immersion factor.

I just want SDS to change the bumper music that cues Allegri. I loathe that sound with every fiber of my being.

Yes, I find it is similar to the ESPN alert except more annoying with that beat in the background while he is talking.

I think they should go with just a weekly recap after simming through the Saturday games. That would be less of an annoyance imo. The daily run through is so stale and tedious. Then they can fit more relevant info in the radio show such as key injuries around the league and standings, league leaders, etc.

And for teams with off-days, instead of acting like they don't exist that day, bring in that twitter integration from RTTS. Maybe grab tweets about big team events, long win streaks, or player reaction to things like joining their new team after FA or a trade or being put on the block. RTTS has "news organizations" and fans tweet about your player or team - bring that in.

In one franchise, the Yankees put Stanton on the block (he was never moved), you know that would generate huge buzz, even if it was just a "see if someone overpays" sort of move (which it must have been since he was never dealt).

This might be where a hidden and living fame or prestige rating could come in handy. The news show would be more apt to mention his happenings, especially for off-field or "side story" stuff.
