Do you think 18 will have the Changeup speed fixed

Just remembered that in 17 the Changeup speed is limited to just 84mph. Do you guys think they have fixed that for 18?

No. No I don't. I expect to see 10 mph differences vs. fastball speed on even the most mediocre change-ups. Same as it has been every year. The 6-8 mph difference that is average in real life will not be represented.

Maybe they'll surprise us, though!

Honestly I would just be happy if guys could have an 86 mph change again, I'm so used to the 10mph difference at this point.

If they didn't have a higher discrepancy between the fastball and the change like they do now, most seasoned players would probably never strikeout. It's just one of those things that is there I think because it has to be like that, rather than trying to perfectly emulate RL pitching velocity.

I also wish they would lock create a player pitches. It keeps changing when I change speed for other pitchers so it makes it harder to pick the right one u want after few adjusts

99 Velocity on 4SFB really should be 101 so you get a range of 101-103, imo, even if they have to "add a couple MPH" for relievers (so starters can still be 99-101 like now but relievers would be 101-103).

I definitely wouldnt buy the game, counting on it to be fixed, considering its a issue, they have overlook, since they started making MLBTS each yr

Yeah I'm pretty sure they can go above 84 like a 90mph pitch can hit 92, but we currently can't have a 88mph change that hits 86-90

Velocity is not effected if I recall correctly. 102 still the limit as far as we know.

With no pitch speed uniformity then the pitch speeds don't actually mean anything and you can't even use that as a reference. I always look at how hard a guy throws before I face him so I at least have an idea. If you start messing with that then an 88 MPH changeup is going to feel completely different than a 88 MPH fastball speed wise, which it shouldn't. It causes a lot more problems than it solves, and not to mention way more unrealistic.

Was the change up stored glitch fixed in MLB 18 or do created guys still Max out their change at 84 mph. Been sitting on my copy of 17 and this always bugged (get it) the **** out of me. I'm thinking of buying 18 on the cheap and just doing my roster there but if it is still a problem in 18 I guess I'll wait til '19 releases.
