I thought of this when I look at Lucas Giolito, who was made by SCEA, but looks nothing like himself. Not even the correct ethnicity.

A question I should know the answer to - Player updates
I've imported a franchise before, but I guess I've forgotten the answer. Do player models, faces, swings, etc get updated on an existing franchise, either for SCEA created or CAP? I understand if CAP don't get updated, as the game may not realize they it's a real life player, or assume you want the SCEA version instead, but I'm hoping SCEA created guys get updated.

Re: A question I should know the answer to - Player updates
Yep, if SDS creates them via roster update, they get assigned a player ID, and that player ID stays the same from that point forward. I think they described how this works in one of their Twitch streams a couple years ago. So they will have the same player ID in MLB 18 as they did in MLB 17, and that's how they update them.Comment

Re: A question I should know the answer to - Player updates
Keep in mind though some players that have retired or were not playing MLB last year will not be in the game
so Tim Lincecom will turn into a generic likeness and fake name so you have to edit all that to how he looks again. it will happen for a few players possibly with this.
This is why a import player option is a must for franchise.Comment
