    User Roster Overhauls (OSFM, etc)

Looking at how ratings seem to have been nerfed (and blown way out of proportion in some DD cards) I have to wonder what happens to Franchise Mode in the long term from the player rating perspective.

While I appreciate the work some people put into this, I noticed as I was in the 2025 season that the amount of 93-99 rated players in MLB 17 was kind of nuts. I also saw a tremendous decline in players like Trout (which is obviously a different discussion, but none the less.).

I'm curious if maybe there should be a push to keep the rosters close to stock from a ratings perspective in order to keep franchise tuned as it is built by SDS from the roster perspective.

    Thoughts?

Well, the initial OSFM rosters do not edit stock player ratings (historically) and only add missing players. If talking long-term, then it could be a matter of player potential ratings and so on.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I agree with potential being important in this regard. It just makes me think I will stick with renamed rosters if anything.
