Ideas for how they could make salary meaningful in RTTS

It's been a long time complaint that RTTS salary is essentially worthless so here are some ideas for how to fix that in the future. Feel free to submit your own.

(For this assume you have a ticker on the RTTS home screen that shows your total wealth)

    1. Unlock/buy equipment you can only use in RTTS - I know this is unlikely to happen as it would cut in on selling pack BUT by making these items only work in RTTS you still have the incentive to buy/unlock equipment packs for DD and other modes. The prices of these things would be extremely inflated so as to make the buying of Platinums (for example) very difficult. You'd probably only be able to afford 2 or 3 platinums over the course of an entire career. To balance thisnyou'd have to restrict players from using equipment they got from other modes in RTTS.

    2. Spend Salary to hire a personal trainer - Basically this would be a subscription you pay or choose not to pay every season that gives you additional "training opportunities" like the ones introduced this year (Bump up attribute caps, improve attributes). There would be a few different trainers, each with their own strengths and weaknesses and costs.

    3. Pay your Agent - This would require significant development on how the agent works in RTTS. Similar to the trainer. You pay them annually. You can fire and hire them from a varied pool with different skills and personalities. Maybe the agent you start off with is very timid and he doesn't want to rock the boat. Maybe he's not willing to go to bat for you when you want more playing time or want to be traded but he's really cheap and no one's that interested in you as you haven't proven yourself yet. Or maybe your agent fights tooth and nail for you BUT he's so hard to work with that teams aren't willing to deal with the headache. Agents could even have stats/perks that improve or decrease over the course of their career. But if you want to get the big bucks/be on the team of your dreams you'll probably need to invest in a more expensive, more high powered agent who is going to take a bigger percentage of your salary. Or maybe you build a bond with your cheaper first agent and manage to grow together and make it work.

    4. Buy outside stuff - You're buying vacations, apartments, cars, houses, paying for a wedding, etc. Maybe as you get later in your career you start seeing things like private school for the kids, Night school (perhaps you skipped college and went straight to the draft now you're looking to sharpen your mind) etc. These would only need to be still pictures with captions. But basically these would unlock perks/give attribute or cap boosts and the scale of the purchase would basically determine how impactful/long term the perk/boost is.

    5. Gamble (Not on baseball, Pete Rose) - Not sure how this would be illustrated. Maybe a minigame of black jack or a slot machine. But the idea is if you want to try and turn money into more money quickly you can gamble it in the hopes of upping your cash reserves so you can buy more stuff. Then again you might just lose everything.

    6. Let us take a pay cut to help the team - If you want to get that gold ring you've got to be a team player. If we take a pay cut let us see our team use the money they saved on us to invest in big new players or in better facilities or coaches. Maybe have the manager/teammates/fans thank us for our sacrifice.

    7. Salary Achievements - This is a more passive one. Basically you unlock things as you hit certain milestones (Make a million dollars in a season, Be the top paid player in the league and so on). This one wouldn't even need to be salary specific, awards/records/world series wins could unlock things as well. Things you could unlock; cosmetic items, more outside world things to buy, agents/trainers to hire, etc.

    8. Let Us Buy A Trophy room Or just gives us one. You can start off with a dinky book shelf and finish with an impressive study by the end of your career where all your most precious memorabilia is held. A place where you can just walk up to things and hit X to ogle your treasures. Examples: Your framed jerseys from all the teams you've played on, all of your awards, record/career related memorabilia (the bat and/or ball you broke a hit/hr record with or maybe just the ball from your first MLB HR/hit , the base you broke to steal record with, etc.), your world series rings/lack their of.

Obviously none of this are essential but it could provide more depth and immersion to the stories we create in RTTS.

I’d like them to mimic what 2k has done (minus the micro transactions). Give us a salary of stubs or RTTS points per game to spend on our player.
