This would not affect me because I am not a DD player. But I was watching a YouTube video with some dude going on about how concerned he was with the pending skills threshold changes which would trigger different animations which of course would affect online game play. I see his point, why should a skilled online player be penalized because their players may not have the rating skills to trigger the next level of animations and then once a player has reached the threshold why put more cards into the player because it really would not have any affect. My response to him would be that true online play where the skills of the gamer determine the results and not the ratings of the players they have could be achieved by completely eliminating the skills ratings on all players in the field (in other words make them all equal). But that would destroy the whole economic model SDS has built for themselves with DD and people buying themselves better players and of course collection legend players. Six of one, half a dozen of the other and it just made me happy I was an offline player. Yeah sure I am still affected by thresholds of the CPU players triggering different animations in my games. But I am not comparing my game playing skills to some other human so what do I care if one CPU player is better than another.
