Help me pick my MLB 18 franchise team

I've narrowed down to 2 from each AL division(already carrying over Braves for NL)

Angels, Rangers, Tigers, Royals, Rays, Orioles

    thanks for all who answer!

Assuming that you're wanting to start with a rebuild, and if you're here you're probably looking to do it realistically, so:

Angels: Probably too good to tank, and good enough to compete for a wildcard, but that Pujols contract is untradeable. Not a lot of good prospects, but some decent guys in the lineup that could be moved if you fell out the race early. Nice stadium to play in too. Also, Mike Trout is apparently good at baseball.
Rangers:A few good young arms coming up (Though the last time this happened, they all ended up failing pretty hard...), and a couple of good looking young fellas (Mazara, Calhoun). Beltre could potentially get you a half decent prospect, and if any of those mediocre arms play well up to the deadline you could probably get another...You could also move Hamels. Decent sized payroll too, so that could help. Probably stuck with the Choo contract unless you move it for another bad deal.
Royals: Kauffman is beautiful to play in, but the Royals don't have that big name prospect coming up that a lot of teams have. You could restock the farm if you were willing to move Sal, but there's not a lot to build around there.
Tigers: Miggy's contract...Whoof...A few good arms in the top 100 prospects coming up though, so that's nice. A few interesting pieces that you could move to get some more prospects back as well, like Fulmer. I went into this saying "Absolutely not the Tigers", but it wouldn't be the worst...
Rays: Looked at them last night...lots of good prospects. You've gotta play at the Trop though, so there's that. Can also get a good haul for Archer, and they aren't nearly as bad of a team as they look on the surface.
Orioles: Trash birds. I'll be honest, Camden is beautiful, but I really, really don't like the Orioles. Sysco coming up will be a nice prospect to have, and you could get a pretty dandy haul from Jones and Machado, but your rotation looks like a steaming pile of manure, and the current system, as it looks pre-trades, is not really super. I'm sure someone who actually likes the Orioles could probably give you a better view, but yeah, not for me...

I'd narrow this down to Tigers and Angels TBH. Angels if you're looking for a tough rebuild, Tigers if you're looking for a team that's already got a little system started.

      Good luck!

Jays: Vlad and Bo are coming (and Anthony Alford)!!! Building around Stroman and Sanchez with Vlad and Bo on their way would be entertaining. Apart from Donaldson though (Unless you move one of those pitcher), there isn't a ton that would bring a lot back. Martin, Tulo and Morales have really bad contracts, and while Smoak and Travis are good, the the market for first basemen and guys with a history of injuries aren't that big. I'm a Jays fan, so I'm very, very biased (hence the trash birds comment for the Oriloles), but Vlad and Bo, amirite?!?!

Thanks, I was actually heavily thinking Angels or Tigers. I could right the ship and get Trout a legit team around him, and yes realism is important to me so Pujols is staying put. and I am for sure waiting for OSFM and they've got 5-6 intriguing specs, Simmons is a fabulous defender and Cozart is a decent stopgap at 3rd, could maybe entertain Upton offers, though he did just sign an extension. Angels are probably in the lead right now. and obviously I'd get Ohtani!!!!!!!

        thanks for the input!

Orioles. I have been playing with them in season mode the last few years but I havent tried them with osfm milb rosters. I might give it a go or I might just overwrite all fake non 40 man roster players with zero attribute ratings & try a season that way.

I usually play with my Cubs, but I think I'm gonna go a similar route and choose a team desperately in need of a rebuild.

I'm gonna choose Detroit, as I like the ballpark, uniforms, and the challenge of getting them out from underneath the contract of Miguel Cabrera.

Tigers did intrigue me quite a bit. They have a few decent specs, some young players like Fulmer. Some decent trade pieces like Castellanos, Iglesias etc. I'm pretty torn between them and the angels. but trout might tip the scale haha
