My Sony doesn’t have dynamic contrast. I’m not sure.

My settings were calibrated with Disney disc and the only change I have to do when I pop in the show is move color to 55. Watching TV I use 45.

Normally I would say Off, but when researching your TV, I found a couple threads on other forums with similar issue with ks800 and the solution was dynamic contrast.

It's weird because you say it works on other games...im not home but I'll check other things too

I have a Vizio 4k tv and a PS4 Pro, but my tv does not support HDR. Is there really an advantage to having a Pro if my TV isn't HDR?

You can still get enhanced visuals (and in other games too) and slightly better performance in some games due to the processing power...assuming the HDR toggle is separate in those games.

Are you all noticing much of a difference visually between the three resolutions? Ive been playing on balanced and its been fine for the most part, except recently ive been experiencing some framerate issues while batting in major league stadiums. Will playing on faster eliminate this? Do i lose anything visually on faster?

It will probably eliminate the slight stutter you are experiencing. Visually noticeable depends on couple things. In most cases, no you won't notice it unless you're looking for it.

I can tell a difference between faster and balanced. Balanced doesn’t have any jaggies that I can tell and just as smooth with the rare hiccup.

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread

I'm new here and hoping I can get some feedback from this thread, since I am unable to start my own thread.

I sold my original PS4 a few years ago. Wanting to get back into playing The Show 18. I have a 70" 4k TV that I will be playing on.

Is it worth getting the PS4 Pro? Or do I get the slim? I have watched videos and read other posts, but really cant find any definitive info if it's worth it or not.

If I understand it correctly, you can only play 30fps on 4k, and 60fps on 1080p? Is that correct?

                  Thanks for your time.

I would always recommend PS4 Pro unless you are on a budget.

Yes 4k is 30fps (Sharper setting within the game), and 1080p is 60fps (Faster setting within the game). The Balanced setting is 1440p.

Whether it's worth it depends on type of TV and how it upscales to 4k, how it handles HDR, and how it does both in Game Mode.

...why not just try playing on faster?

In the end ive settled on balanced. I noticed the backdrop was crisper as far as the scoreboard along with the scenery. I prefer that over the slight framerate improvement on faster imo.

Just slight studder in cutscenes. Nothing crazy at all. I'm glad someone started a thread like this, as I'm curious at what everyone is using...
go to tv inputs and select the HDMI your using. Change the HDMI port to 2.0

I'm curious what you ended up deciding on? I just picked up a Pro today and also have just a 1080p TV for now. Eventually I'll be upgrading to 4K, but will have to make do for the time being.

I'd go with the faster setting and get that 60 FPS.
