MLB The Show ‘18 Franchise Progress Thread

Hey Guys, back at it again with another great game. As we’re probably still a week to week and half away from OSFM rosters, I wanted to start the franchise thread early. Let’s hear what’s going on in your franchise!

I’ll start it off.. Even though I didn’t have the OSFM rosters, I used one of the rosters in the vault with a bunch of top prospects and the rosters are working out pretty nice, I decided to use it and start a “trial” Franchise.

I used the Braves, sent Acuña down to the minors to a couple weeks. And after a DREADFUL 5-33 start and losing any interest on the 2018 season I basically sold what I could at the deadline. Simmed through the year and focused on the off-season and 2019.

In the off-season, we didn’t sign and big name guys, just supporting pieces. We were able to trade for a 27yo 90overall Eugenio Suarez from the Reds. Acuña blossomed to a 87overall and adjusted overall is 91(!)

I just started the 2019 campaign, roster is promising. When I get home tonight I’ll go on and post rosters/lineups/Rotation and see how the year goes. So far, thinks are looking good!

Loaded Monkeyman’s rosters and fantasy drafted my squad. Sold off everybody for prospects. Resigned Machado in my first offseason after trading him to Philly for Hoskins. I’m quick managing all my games in my second season now. Sucks you can’t double switch though.

Is there a way to fix the CPU call-up logic to help keep young guys in the minors? There are at least 15 18 year olds in the majors right now and it’s breaking my immersion.

If I change the salaries, will it screw anything else up besides probably morale? I'm going to ignore budgets, also.

For example, in the game, Aaron Judge is making like $1.1 million....in real life he's getting $622K. I want to change the salaries to reflect real life.

Has anybody gone in and changed contract lengths/salaries and had any real negative affects?

Not trying to rain on your parade but I think a thread was already going for this: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...on-thread.html
