    Gameplay Tips...

    Hi All,

I spend most of my time playing vs the CPU, whether in DD or Exhibition. I dominate on rookie, usually win on veteran, but start to struggle a bit on all star. I know I need to take some strikes, but struggle when the cpu lays in pitches I think I can get to. I also struggle with pitching, getting pretty well shelled on what I think are "good" pitches on higher levels.

Any tips to improve my game would be appreciated a ton!
I play sports games and spend way too much time making rosters.

I think one of the biggest things you can do is just be patient at the plate..Get into the habit of watching the angle of the pitch as it is being released from the pitcher..On counts where you are down 2 strikes (0-2, 1-2, 3-2) use the contact swing, it will put the bat on the ball more often, even if you foul it and usually give you another chance to swing the bat..

Also adjust your sliders to a point where you are comfortable and once that starts to feel "easy" bump them up..

I should clarify - I have been using Dynamic this year offline, but I play a lot of the single player modes on conquest too... that’s why I’m looking for some help.

Find a zone you can hit and then lay off anything that isn't obviously in that zone. For me that's middle and middle low, they are my happy zones and I won't swing at anything that's not in the central vertical third until I get two strikes and start protecting the plate. Swinging at things on the outside or inside corner when you don't have to is a recipe for weak contact imo.

As for pitching, it's a bit of a crapshoot as the computer on higher difficulties will sometimes just smash a perfectly placed low and away slider for a homerun, yet pop up a terrible hanging slider. But generally all you can do is try and throw good pitches and hope for the best. over time you'll find pitches that get you more success, more often and pitches that have a habit of getting hit more often(the computer murders any low 2 seamers I throw for some reason)
