Thoughts on pitch speed slider

What is everyone's thoughts on the pitch speed, I have seen it discussed and I personally thought on 10 it was ok, what are other people putting it on and do y'all think it's a problem?

I have both fastball and offspeed on 10 and have no issues with it now.

I don't know if difficulty plays a role but I'm currently playing on Legend.

That's what I was thinking because im doing the same thing as u but I've read people saying it's still too slow, I thought it was fine but was looking for other opinions

I had been using 7 for both of the pitch speeds since the game released, but I just played a game with them both on 10 and much prefer them on 10. Currently playing on All Star, but I will eventually be moving up to HOF.

It was faster last year. And I preferred it that way. Hardly ever am I late now, even at 10. The last few years it has gotten slower and slower. Not a fan.

It's better this way, better for online play. Offline you can turn the sliders up.

Not if they're already as high as they go.....


It is a bit too slow for my liking this year but I'm hoping I'll adjust and get used to it.

To me with both maxed at 10, it reminds of '16 which I thought was really good.

Slider maxed out is still far too easy. I really hope they address this or make the pitch speed slider more effective.

Have you tried upping difficulty?

I went from HoF to Legend and have pitch speeds maxed out and it is like it was in '16 for me.

I have them both set on 10 it is perfect. thanks to Houston Sliders./ you get the right amount of strikeouts too

At default pitch speed on All-Star difficulty, a 90 mph fastball is about 80 mph visually.

The slider system is a 10 point system (5 clicks above and below default) Each click represents about a 1.5mph+/- change in speed visually.

Hall of Fame and Legend start 2-3 mph higher than default All-Star.

I believe rookie and Veteran start 2-3 mph lower than All-Star default.

EDIT: I agree this year 10 for both is what 7 or 8 would look like last year.

yep exactly I felt when facing guys that throw 98 and 100 felt completely different and tough which is how it should be. it has the perfect balance set on 10.
