I game on a 4k monitor with a 5ms response time so its perfect for the show, but I also have a 55inch KS8000 so if I ever get a itch for some HDR goodness I have that option too. I would say get a 4k monitor or 4ktv in general at this point because that seems to be the direction consoles are going better to future proof yourself.

Re: PS4 Pro
Anyone that says it’s not worth the upgrade without a 4K TV doesn’t have a PS4 Pro haha.
It’s absolutely worth it. I know because I did it. But now I got a 4K with it and even better!Comment

Re: PS4 Pro
Agreed. It's absolutely worth it on 1080p for the smoother framerate. You get other perks as well though, depending on what game you're playing.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro
Not entirely true for the Show. It ups a few things even without a 4K tv honestly you can't really play in the highest reso output anyway unless you can somehow play choppy baseball.
For a lot of games this is true though that you need a 4K tv to really get anything out of it.
But if your as crazy about baseball and the Show as I am then it's totally worth it 4K tv or nah.

Re: PS4 Pro
I just recently purchased a Ps4 pro and I have a 1080p Samsung TV. I debated for a good while whether or not it was worth an investment without having a 4k TV just yet and I'm just disappointed that I waited this long to get one. The frame rate increase alone is more than a good enough reason to me, like going from console gaming to pc gaming, essentially. Additionally, I feel like there is a slight bump in visual fidelity, whether that's actually a thing or just my mind making me believe it to be so, it's there. I'll always recommend anyone asking if the pro is worthwhile without a 4k set, there are more things to take advantage of besides graphical improvements.

I was lucky and got a 4K tv I was lucky enough to find a good deal. But I was told games won’t play well without a 4K tv I guess they lied lol

Re: PS4 Pro
I'll probably end up taking the plunge on this one.
Can we transfer our Road to The Show player over from a PS4 to PS4 Pro?

Re: PS4 Pro
Yeah, in the Data Utiliy section of RTTS you can upload your saved game to the cloud then load from the cloud on your new PS4 Pro.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro
You can also just throw it on a USB and swap it over that way or you have the option of connecting an ethernet cable from the original Ps4 to the Ps4 pro and transferring data as well. Cloud may be easiest but always good to know what options are available to you ahead of time.

Honestly the graphical improvement isn't anywhere near as big as the improvements else where.I just recently purchased a Ps4 pro and I have a 1080p Samsung TV. The upgrade on the graphical side isn't a big one anyway, least not for the Show.

Re: PS4 Pro
I got mine last year just to play in 60 FPS on my old 1080p display. I have a 4K TV now but I'll still be playing it in the upscaled 1080p 60 FPS mode.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro
Playing on a Pro is night and day, so there's no way it was a consistent 60.
As for year's past being 60fps, I remember 14-15 slowing to a crawl on foul balls or hits down the line. Didn't play 16 so can't comment on its framerate, but I did play 17 on a normal PS4 and Pro and the difference was incredible.Comment
