    New to MLB 18, how can I make the seasons shorter?

    I don't want to always have to do an insane 162 game season, how do I lower the number of games per season?

      You would have to sim the games the mode you would want (season) was removed from the game this year.

              I know there are many valid reasons not to sim but the what I'd do if i didn't want to play the whole 162, play 54 instead & sim the other 108. Every team is (usually) going to win 54 & lose 54. What matters most is what you do with that other third of a season.

                  The 1 big problem with sim games is guys can get hurt , I simmed madden pre season once and lost 2 starters I for 14 weeks the other 8 weeks

                      Madden isnt the Show, & contrary to popular opinion, SDS isnt EA.


                      Long story short, when you sim, turn injuries OFF.
                      When you play, turn injuries ON.

                              My guess is because of the "Phases'' addition.

                                  Hopefully in MLB The Show 19 they add options for shorter seasons to franchise mode
