I brought over my 1B RTTS player from '17. When I get a grounder hit to me in the past, I usually just hit square to make my player run to the bag for the force out. But on '18 when I hit the square button, my player throws the ball to the 3rd base. In the controls section, it says that the square button is for 1st base. Is there a setting that I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Im not sure what game you bought. But there a manual (controls) menu in game and online.
Im old skool I like the buttons to mimic the view of a diamond
X = home
O = 1st
Triangle = 2nd
[ ] = 3rd
But if [ ] made you throw to 3rd.. I'd advise you use the L stick and Run your guy to first. Or press O

I think what he is talking about is a few years ago when playing RTTS the buttons to throw we reversed to mimic the camera faceing home plate. So square was first, X was second O was third and triangle was home. I think it was like that in 16. I used to play 3B in RTTS and remember using analog throwing and id push the stick to the left to throw to first. Last years game it threw me off cuz i did the same thing and my guy ran to third. it was weird pressing the stick in the opposite direction to get my guy to throw to first baseComment

Thanks for your input guys. Somehow the fielding controls set to "classic" instead of "fielder". All is back to normal, now I can get to playing. ;-)Comment
