I think i have got the furthet hr in mlb 18. IN AN ONLINE GAME! Albert Belle hit a 561 ft bomb!

JD had a pretty good game against the Astros, his first HR was the longest in my MLB the Show playing career and then his third one happened. Both over the Monster well onto Landsdowne Street.

I only see actual players in the list, so I assume RTTS players are disallowed?

(Wondering if this is the case for older versions too, as in 16 I have a couple dozen bombs over 500FT with my RTTS guy about a dozen or so screenshots)

I started this thread with The Show 2016 and it had over 300 replies, so I figured I'd keep it going with this year's game. Let's see who has the longest in-game home runs!

I will update the OP in order of greatest distance per home run once pictorial or video evidence is provided. Here's what you need to provide in order to make the list:

1. Pictorial or video evidence showing the home run WITH distance shown (feel free to post any home runs you've hit, but ONLY those with pictorial or video evidence will make the OP list).

2. ONLY in-game. NO HOME RUN DERBY TOTALS WILL BE IN THE OP LIST!!!!

I myself hit one with Gary Sanchez yesterday 476 feet to center at Pittsburgh, but I do not have pictorial evidence so it will not make the list.

Those metrics don't add up on Earth. I've studied the numbers for a game I've been developing. That HR should've went around 480 unless it was hit into hurricane force winds blowing out.

A hang time of almost 8 seconds is rare and usually HRs with high launch angles result in long hang times. Higher launch angles ( >38° ) produce shorter HRs. Most HRs with that kinda hang time would be less than 420 feet.

LOL no worries at all man, I was just giving you a hard time because normally I bring that kind of stuff up.

For the record, not only do I agree with you on that one, but this happens in this game a lot I've noticed. There is a backspin element in their physics engine that keeps a bit too much "low gravity" flotation on their balls which otherwise shouldn't happen or help it retain such high velocity upon descending. It is what it is though, and I assume it will keep refining every year.
