RTTS: Is anyone getting even a decent draft spot?

I have started and quit a few RTTS already. No matter how I do in the showcase games (balled out in a couple of them) I am always in the mid to late 20s as far as my draft round. Even "went to college" and did better in the second round of games than the first and dropped 3 rounds.

This is an intentional design this year...the idea is that you're a middle-of-the-road prospect.

Terrible. You should be able to at least work yourself into the higher rounds.

They said in one of the developer streams that rounds 1-10 will never happen. Instead of being a highly touted prospect, they chose to make you a Cinderella story of sorts and a late round pick no matter what you do.

It doesnt look like rounds 11-19 will happen either. This isnt my main mode I play, but I feel bad for the people that it is. They have ruined this mode.

I'm sorry... but how is the mode ruined? The only difference is the draft graphic and possibly a couple of commentary lines about you being a late round pick.

Perhaps "ruined" was a bit strong, but, seriously, why make it impossible to work into a higher pick? Again, they are taking decisions away from the gamer for what reason? Not everyone wants to play the same way, yet Sony forces everyone into their narrative.

Edit: I was wrong, I saw the draft start and just go down to the eighth pick, I missed that is said 25th round already

It's purely cosmetic. How is the mode ruined? Can we lay off the hyperbole in this forum for a little while? I know people love to complain, but damn.

For me the mode plays better than it ever has.

Like what? This is the first year I've spent much time with RTTS compared to other years. What are the big issues?

If draft position makes or breaks the mode for you then the game mode itself probably isn't for you anyways. The only real true problem I have with the mode is the complete lack of ability to move through the ranks realistically. 2 months in to the season I lead AA in homers, doubles, triples, RBIs, AVG, and hits. There isn't a team in the world that would leave a player like that wasting in the minors. I know there are tons of other people with this same problem, and to me, it is one of only a few that are really realism breaking in the mode.
