Directional is what timed was, it just has more features. Don't worry, you can still use it just like timed, but now (if you choose) you can have finer control over the type of swing you take, as opposed to just the three choices of Power, Normal and Contact like it was before.

Use direcrional. Directional works just the same as timing as long as you don’t pick a direction.

Isn't analog hitting based solely on timing if you don't touch the left stick?
