    Game crashes (PS4 Pro/4K TV)

Is anyone else getting crashes? I've had 2 in 4 games on my new PS4 Pro and new HDR 4K Sony TV. Everything runs very smoothly until suddenly the game crashes. Very frustrating. I'm using 'balanced' resolution.

    *knocks on wood*

No issues here. Playing on regular PS4.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I had the first one last night. Same system and settings as yourself. As the game was loading.

And I've just had another - 3 in 5 games now. Mine are always in-game and totally out of the blue. In the last game I lowered resolution to faster. I'll now try HDR off (always on so far) and faster. If that doesn't work I'll be at a complete loss what to do. My technical know-how is zero.

I have had the game freeze on the cut scene of the city you are playing in. It doesn’t happen all the time.

I had one game crash, also on a PS4 Pro (no 4K TV, but using the Faster visual option). I was in the 7th inning in that game as well. Very frustrating.

I've played 2 more games, both with HDR off, one on balanced and one on faster. One crashed in the 2nd and the other in the 7th. Clearly the game has become unplayable for me, 5 crashes in 7 games. Hardly anyone else seems to be having this problem, so unlikely to be the game itself. I have a new PS4 Pro and new Sony Bravia 43in HDR 4K TV. I deliberately bought a Sony TV because I thought this would eliminate any compatibility problems. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I might investigate or try next?

I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not. I'm on the standard PS4, and after patch 1.04 dropped I started having in game crashes like this. I uninstalled the game. Once I reinstalled, and downloaded the patches again everything has been fine. Knock on wood.

I was coming in to suggest the same thing.

                  Hopefully it works for him.

I am experiencing temporary freezes that last for a few seconds, but thankfully no crashes yet. Hopefully the next patch cleans this up.

                        You're welcome man.

                        Glad it worked out.

I'm experiencing freezing and crashing issues with the servers. Disconnecting my PS4 from the internet completely solves them.

I always play offline, so no server issues. I connected just to download patch 1.05. Do you think the same applies there as for 1.04? If so, I'll try the reinstall. (But I had a couple of crashes before downloading the patch, so I would be surprised if that was the problem).

Googling, I find that some people are having compatibility problems with Sony 900E TVs and PS4 Pros. Mine is an older 43inch 800E, so not sure if the same compatibility problems apply (tho' why there should be any such problems on two Sony products is beyond me). I've tried the two main suggestions on the Sony forums - 1) putting the TV into game picture mode rather than automatic picture mode and 2) turning off HDR on the PS4 Pro settings menu - and I'm still getting crashes after anything from 10 to 60 minutes play. I'm up to 7 crashes now. Is anyone on the forum playing with an 800E (or 900E) HDR 4K Sony Bravia TV and a PS4 Pro and having no problems? Just wondering if it's possible.

I would give the uninstall, and reinstall a shot. It's a pain in the butt to have to do, but it got me fixed.
