I don't believe that pitchers are allowed to wear compression sleeves IRL. So they don't have an option for them in the game. MLB is really, really picky about what pitchers can, and can't have on their body.

      Ohtani wears Nike sleeves.

Bullit your friendly neighborhood rules lawyer is back with another episode....

        1.11
        (a) (1) All players on a team shall wear uniforms identical in color, trim and style, and all players uniforms shall include minimal sixinch numbers on their backs. (2) Any part of an undershirt exposed to view shall be of a uniform solid color for all players on a team. Any player other than the pitcher may have numbers, letters, insignia attached to the sleeve of the undershirt. (3) No player whose uniform does not conform to that of his teammates shall be permitted to participate in a game.
        (b) A league may provide that (1) each team shall wear a distinctive uniform at all times, or (2) that each team shall have two sets of uniforms, white for home games and a different color for road games.
© (1) Sleeve lengths may vary for individual players, but the sleeves of each individual player shall be approximately the same length. (2) No player shall wear ragged, frayed or slit sleeves.
        (d) No player shall attach to his uniform tape or other material of a different color from his uniform.
        (e) No part of the uniform shall include a pattern that imitates or suggests the shape of a baseball.
        (f) Glass buttons and polished metal shall not be used on a uniform.
        (g) No player shall attach anything to the heel or toe of his shoe other than the ordinary shoe plate or toe plate. Shoes with pointed spikes similar to golf or track shoes shall not be worn.
        (h) No part of the uniform shall include patches or designs relating to commercial advertisements.
        (i) A league may provide that the uniforms of its member teams include the names of its players on their backs. Any name other than the last name of the player must be approved by the League President. If adopted, all uniforms for a team must have the names of its players.

        1.15

        (a) The pitchers glove may not, exclusive of piping, be white, gray, nor, in the judgment of an umpire, distracting in any manner.
        (b) No pitcher shall attach to his glove any foreign material of a color different from the glove.
© The umpire-in-chief shall cause a glove that violates Rules 1.15(a) or 1.15(b) to be removed from the game, either on his own initiative, at the recommendation of another umpire or upon complaint of the opposing manager that the umpire-in-chief agrees has merit.

Even with this, a batter could still bring it to the attention of the Umpire Chief that he feels it is distracting if a Pitcher is wearing a sleeve. It is then up to the Chief to decided if it is a distraction and then decide on whether it may continue to be worn. Unless over ridden by a Doctors note (yes really a doctors note) saying that it is a medical requirement.

I agree with this hitting the pitcher on balls back up the middle thing. It happens a little too often and they don't make enough plays on balls hit right by them.

C'mon SDS. Next patch it time to get ''sortable'' in rosters for service time and by yes/no on 40-man status. Also in need, MLB news still doesn't work even though twitter does. MLB News still comes up for 17 though.

I think I'm going to stick with 1.06, everything just feels right including the out-fielding.

Quick story: In the top of the ninth inning of a 3-3 game I pinch hit for my catcher. In the bottom of the ninth I lost by a run aided by three pass ball / wild pitches.

BAD GAME / GLITCHES / COMEBACK CODE !!!

Whoops, I had forgotten to replace the pinch hitter with another catcher so I was throwing sinkers to a third baseman. Good job SDS!

I will say the amount of wild pitches in this game is way too much. I literally am afraid to throw a curve low sometimes because I feel the likelihood will be a WP.

I've been locked up by a 2 strike breaking ball more times this year than any other version. Special feeling when you get rung up looking too.

That changeup that starts in the middle of the plate and falls out is my kryptonite and seems like I see it more often after the update and the defense seems to have taken a step backwards. I'm ok with swinging and missing at the changeup up, I'll eventually get wise but the defense is just infuriating at times.

I'm 2-5 since the update in my franchise.

I've rarely had it happen as well and I hit my share back up the middle.

same here. I've played about 30 games so far, and it has happened at least one time in every game. There is something pleasant though, when hearing that thud sound when they get nailed.

Well, bouncing curveballs in the dirt should be risky. In DD, I realized that fielding at Catcher was important for that very reason. If a guy got to first, I was putting too many of them on third.

But this was with really poor defensive catchers and mediocre pitchers. As I improved the players that catch and pitch, I no longer saw so many.

And the reality is, I want that risk/reward of pitches I might not get to use because of wild pitches, even if they would be good out pitches. It also keeps me from just hammering away at the bottom of the zone with no repercussions.
