Do the rosters SDS puts out affect anything besides DD?

In the latest roster update, I noticed a message on the home page saying ratings have been updated, and noticed it seems to only apply to DD modes. Do they ever release a roster update with ratings that work outside of DD? I also noticed some players with no audio added that SHOULD have it. Carlos Villanueva, for example. It’s possible to give him his spoken name, but SDS didn’t put it. Seems lazy to me.

Roster updates take effect on any mode except for existing franchises and RTTS games. Meaning that if you are currently in May in your franchise and a roster update comes out, the roster update will have no effect on your franchise. Your rosters will not change whatsoever.

Now if you start a new franchise or RTTS after a roster update, you can choose to play with the most recent roster update or you can choose to play with the rosters that shipped with the game.

In regards to Carlos Villaneuva, is he a SDS player or is he a CAP? If he is a SDS player then I'm not sure why he doesn't have his name audio. If he is a CAP, those do not update with roster updates.

I dont remember audio being in for added players through updates for at least the last several years. at least its editable.

I’m not sure then. I play a carry over save so I didn’t see the original roster nor any updates
