Pitches low in the zone look the same

So something I have noticed lately is I have a hard time distinguishing pitch is low in the zone. Whether a pitch is 2 feet out of the strike zone low or just at the bottom of the strike zone they all look the same. Sometimes even pitches down in the dirt before the plate look like they could be low in the strike zone. I’ve tried different camera angles to get different angles on the pitchesI just can’t seem to find one that distinguishes low pitches well enough. Is it just me,do I have a terrible eyesight or is this some what of an issue for other people?

The low ones are hard to lay off sometimes, because like you said it's kind of hard to tell. It just takes some getting used to I guess. I use the catcher high batting view, if that's of any help.

It's supposed to be that difficult, it's why most pitchers try so hard to work down down down in the zone. This is really all gonna be about pitch recognition for you not recognizing location.

You need to work on more quickly identifying off-speed, if it is lay off.

Or if you need a extreme solution just lay off all low ones until 2 strikes.

My camera angle is posted on one of the later pages over in Armor&swords slider thread if you wanna check it out.

Idk which camera you're using but one that's off set and a little lower would help with this.

        Low let it go.

Lay off most of the low pitches early in the game until you get comfortable with a pitcher. Even if you get caught looking in the first couple innings you are at least accomplishing something by getting his pitch count up. By the 3rd & 4th innings just take low until 2 strikes, then protect the plate. By the 5th inning, with any luck, you'll be ready to run the starter to an early shower if you can do something positive with the low pitches. Fair warning, I am not a professional hitter but I do play one in the Show.

Anyone remember how to set a sentence up to be a link? For some reason I'm completely blanking right now.

I'm trying to take the link in my sig and make it just read check out my approach to directional hitting. Instead of seeing the link.

You have to highlight the sentence with your mouse (or touch if you're on mobile) then click the "Insert Link" button that looks like this:

Just lemme know if you need more help.

I find the lower I move the custom camera, the easier it is for me to read pitches, especially breaking balls. I usually lower it enough so that it almost looks like you're viewing from the catcher's perspective.

I start with The Show 16 camera and then lower it about 2 or 3 notches. I also like to zoom it in a fair amount as well.

Thank you! Don't know why I couldn't remember that.

Here's a shot of my camera with the zone on for lining up purposes, it's based off the Retro camera if you wanna try it.

Also I know that's not Judges stance I changed it to Bradley Zimmer cause he keeps the bat still making it a little easier to match up.

Yep. The only way to learn to lay off the low pitches that are balls are to learn to read them out of the pitcher's hands better. The more you play the better you should get at reading pitches. If they start out at the knees then the majority of the time it's an offspeed pitch that's going to be a ball and you need to lay off of it. Same with those breaking balls down and away. It's one of the best things about The Show. BTW, I don't use default camera, I think I use the MLB 15 camera.

Also I dig the camera. It's very close to what I use too.

Haha, I’m not a professional hitter, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night.
