    Rain outs or delays

Anyone see either of these happen yet? I know it’s been mentioned as a new thing this year but in 13 games played with my team and the rest of the league simulated I have yet to see one.

Rain outs aren't in the game.

Rain delays I have seen one. Lasted 45 minutes.

I have also played 2 games in the rain where there was no delay.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

They should be though. Rain outs and unexpected double headers are a fact and a way of life in baseball. Every team gets affected by them every season (OK, most teams do, maybe not necessarily every single team).

I would love the unexpected challenge of a game being rained out and then having to manage my way through a doubleheader the next day with a season and battle worn bullpen.

I thought there were both, but haven’t seen any delays. I actually haven’t even played a game in the rain yet. Maybe I’ll set one for rain and see what happens.

Exactly my thoughts too. I like the idea of having to piece together a bullpen during a doubleheader. Similar to the other day when I played a 13 and 14 inning game back to back and my bullpen was toast. I had to send down and call up 2 pitchers for the next game, which thankfully was only 9 innings.

How do you get rain in franchise mode?. Is it random or do you have to select it at the beginning of the game options

Weather is random in franchise mode. But you can select the weather you want prior to the game.

Its on the same screen that you select Presentation and Theme.

I had a 90 minute rain delay in the bottom of the 2nd inning yesterday, then I saved and quit my game in about the 5th. Picked it back up this morning and had a second 90 minute rain delay in the 7th inning.

Must have been a long 1:05pm game for those remaining fans...

I was wondering if you could get two rain delays in one game. I had one rain delay so far. It didn’t happen until 6th inning. But the announcers were mentioning the rain and the field conditions in the 4th and they were saying they expect a delay at any time.

Yep, had a rain delay. Lasted like an hour. It came at the end of the 6th inning. I was going to pull my starter anyway so it didn't bother me.

                        Re: Rain outs or delays

I've yet to see a rain delay...played bout 5 games in the rain no delays...last game that it did rain it only lasted for like 3 innings and it was done. I do like that it can stop though.

On a side note I hope in 19 they expand on dynamic weather and allow games to start sunny and occasionally it starts getting cloudy and start raining too...

Back on rain delays, hope I get one soon... Without forcing to play in the rain want to try to let it be random when it does rain...

maybe someone can find in which Twitch but I’m pretty sure Ramone mentioned that was in current version.

Even having snow for some games during opening week in cold cities would be pretty cool too.

Not to get into MVP 05, but they had rainouts, but if it came on the last game of a series you’d end up with a game against both teams the next day. I remember playing the angels then going to Arizona. At least I didn’t have a cross country flight. We can’t get a rotating schedule so I can’t see rainouts being an option until that is addressed.
