"Stepping in, the always intense Matt Chapman"

Matty V should tell me more about how my rookie pitcher is "making his debut as a September call-up" in April. Also, I love DeRo, but I'm burned out on hearing him refer to "the boys". He must really miss his playing days. Plesac doesn't bother me.

A thesaurus and a speech class wouldn't kill Plesac.

This is part of the reason I hate Diamond Dynasty so much. Most of SDS's focus is on that mode and it's so obvious that franchise has been neglected for years and years. The commentary may never be perfect, but man, it's bad. Literally hear the same stories about players every singe game.

Most ridiculous comment I've heard so far was from Plesac about Jon Lester. He said, in a nutshell, that Lester was not a good fielding pitcher but does a great job holding baserunners... HAHAHAHAHA! Dude... have you watched him? He's quite literally the worst of all time. He cannot throw to bases. It's so bad that it can't even be replicated in The Show.

Yeah, Contreras and his cannon arm (and willingness to back pick to 1st) is more the deterrent than anything Lester does.

I thought last year was an improvement..I really wasn't hearing repeats until about 10 games in..

They even dropped his arm from mid-60's in Show 16 to flat zero last year. Pickoff artist indeed

It seems way more repetitive this year than previous years.

Did you see him do a bounce pass to get Braun the other day? [emoji23]

For the love of Pete if I hear ambush, ambush tactics, or #ambush one more time..........I'm turning the commentary off.

                          Re: Commentary repetition

I think the commentary this year is vastly improved. I love the new player specific lines this year. One of the things that used to get on my nerves in the past was how there would be no mention of specific players on the bases or things of that nature and now they're finally in. I love the breakdown of players and things. I will say there is a glitch that I've heard a couple of times. "X player is normally a right fielder but is playing center field tonight." Then for some weird reason DeRo starts talking about the same player playing catcher. I'm always left going WTF? None of that is right. The guy isn't playing catcher or center field. He's a right fielder playing right field.

I hate hearing after 2 games of the year how a player is having a bad season or below average... I mean seriously who codes that in the game!!
